Dr. SUSHILA SINGHAL is a Professor, who retired from Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies, of the School of Social Sciences, after more than 25 years of Teaching and Research. She taught for over two years at the Department of Psychology, University of Delhi, Delhi. She has a Ph.D in Psychology and has specialised in Social & Educational Psychology. She also worked as a Professor at the Shri Ram Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources, New Delhi, for about 18 months. She has done Post Doctoral Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinoi & a Consultant at State Department of Education New York, Albany, New York, U.S.A. for over 3 years.

She has done extensive research in multi-disciplinary areas of Social , Economic and Behavioural studies,  and has taken active interest in allied areas like Sustainable Development.  She has attended a large number of National & International Conferences, and meetings. She has visited UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan & Sri Lanka for various assignments. She has represented Govt. of India in a SAARC Meeting in Sri Lanka.  She has guided a large number of M. Phil & Ph. D. Thesis of students at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110065, and implemented Research Projects of Indian Council for Social Science Research, National Council for Educational Research & Training & University Grants Commission, New Delhi.. Her publications include more than 100 papers in National and International Journals and numerous books. She continues to be associated with some NGOs also.  She lives at B-194, Mount Kailash, New Delhi-110065.
